Prototyping & 3D Printing

Tooling is the most expensive decision in your program. Prototypes make it a safe one — printed, machined or soft-tooled parts in your hand in days, so you validate before you commit.

Prototype routes

Four ways to get a part in your hand.

3D Printing

FDM for quick geometry checks, SLA for fine detail and surface, SLS / MJF for functional nylon parts without support scars. Typical turnaround: days.

  • FDM
  • SLA
  • SLS / MJF
  • PLA · ABS · Nylon · Resin

CNC Prototypes

Machined one-offs in the production material — real aluminum, real POM, real stainless — when material behavior matters to the validation.

  • Production alloys
  • Tight tolerance
  • 1–50 pcs

Soft Tooling & Cast Samples

Aluminum molds and urethane casting bridge the gap: tens to hundreds of parts in near-production materials while hard tooling is built.

  • Urethane casting
  • Aluminum tools
  • Bridge runs

Pre-Production Samples

First articles off the production tool, dimensionally inspected and submitted for your approval — the formal gate before serial production starts.

  • FAI
  • Boundary samples
  • PPAP on request

Why it matters

Every prototype loop de-risks the tooling check.

A $300 print that catches an interference saves a $30,000 tool revision. We plan prototype loops deliberately — each one answers a specific question about fit, function or manufacturability before capital is committed.
